Laboratory Safety Training (1 day)

Spill team training for laboratory scale chemical and biological spillages. Includes legislation background, spill team aims, spill assessment and spill action (theory and a practical drill).

H&S for Senior Managers & Executives (3 hours)
New concise and practical workshop aimed at Directors and Senior Managers. Delivered by our associate Sara Cooper, formerly Cambridge University's Director of Health and Safety.

Health & Safety Representatives (1 day)

This training aims to enable participants to act as competent and more effective health and safety representatives.  The syllabus includes current health and safety legislation, the importance of consultation and the application of risk management principles in the workplace.

Health & Safety Awareness for Employees (3 hours)
"Group activities ensured everyone was included and interest kept"
This course aims to provide employees with an awareness of health and safety legislation and the ability to apply risk assessment principles to workplace hazards.  The content can be tailored specifically to your organisation and can be used as induction training or as a refresher.

Risk Assessment Worshop (3 hours)
This is a half day workshop for all individuals who need to take an active role in assessing risk. Covering the principles and practice of risk assessment the course also equips delegates with information on how to recognise and identify activities needing assessment, how to evaluate the adequacy of their assessments and how to take things forward.

 

Manual Handling (2 hours 30)

The objective of this course is to reduce the risk of manual handling related injuries through training participants to perform manual handling risk assessments and practise safe lifting techniques.

Promoting Good Health at Work/Stress Awareness (1 hour 30, including the option of a relaxation shoulder massage)
Aims to improve employee productivity and reduce workplace absence by providing participants with an understanding of the causes of health problems at work (e.g. ergonomic related problems and stress), and the action they can take to minimise work related illness and promote good health in general.
Course delivered in partnership with a qualified personal trainer.
